Senior Engineer – Gateway / Test and Verification Planning and Oversight

The Senior T&V Engineer – Gateway / Test and Verification Planning and Oversight will:
Participate as a lead in a team environment for Gateway Test, Verification, and Validation planning, working with NASA's Gateway Program and partners to
Develop policy, plans, tools to enable Gateway Verification and Validation
Collaboratively plan, support, execute, assess, and close the resulting verification and validation events
Support coordination and review activities resulting in verification and validation closure and requirement closure
Communicate T&V Office Vision and Gateway V&V Plans to broad audience across the Gateway program, to include international partners and module commercial providers/partners
Lead efforts to develop Detailed Verification Objectives, Validation Objectives, Verification Events, and Verification Closure Notices
Define methods and processes for creation of these artifacts
Work with requirement owners in the creation and approval process
Define automated tool system needs to facilitate
Define coordination processes for requirement closure
Work in partnership with JSC lab facilities to plan and execute verification and validation testing
Support Certification of Flight Readiness planning and execution
Work with team members to identify risks, develop risk statements and responses
Lead team members in the development of automated tools and other products
Work in a team environment and report to the office manager to provide status on progress and issues and for support
Maintain a professional relationship with the NASA customer and other NASA support contractors
Perform other duties as required

BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of fourteen (14) years of direct engineering experience, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school and twelve (12) years of direct engineering experience, or a Ph.D. degree and nine (9) years of direct engineering experience. Experience with large system Verification and Validation planning and execution for aerospace systems
Strong communications and negotiation skills
Experience with the NASA Systems Development Lifecycle, Life Cycle Reviews, and associated products
Knowledge of systems engineering principles and associated documentation
Experience with systems engineering toolsets to include MBSE
Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings.
Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision
Experience working in a team environment
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
Requisition Preferences:
Familiarity with NASA/JSC engineering processes
Familiarity with NASA/JSC documentation databases as well as typical systems engineering products
INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional certification
