Design and create design packages for aircraft hydraulic and electrical subsystems.
Evaluation of component qualifications for integration into designs.
5+ experience with hydraulic design for aircraft systems including design hydraulic plumbing installations, including selection of fittings and hardware – Viable applicants must have the ability to size and select aircraft hydraulic components.
Strong knowledge electronics including electronic controls is required.
The ability to build as well as operate test rigs for proofing of future systems is a major plus.
Capable of performing on-aircraft testing or tuning is preferred.
Capacity to proficiently produce drawings for parts, assemblies and installations, ideally using SolidWorks is preferred.
Ability to perform qualification work involving Qualification Test Program (QTP), Qualification Test Results (QTR), and Declaration of Design and Performance (DDP).
Experience researching aircraft application information through Illustrated Parts Catalogs, Wiring Diagram Manuals and Maintenance Manuals.
Experience creating revisions and supplements for Aircraft Flight Manuals and technical publications.
Ability to write compliance reports for FAA certification or at least have a working knowledge of the certification process.
Experience providing customer support for inquiries, troubleshooting, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent education and experience preferred.
Background working in AS9100 and ISO9001 engineering and manufacturing environments is also preferred.
