Senior Project Manager lead a small team of engineers focused on product development, continuous improvement initiatives, and testing. The ideal candidate is a highly engaged, hands-on engineering leader who can work with-in aggressive schedules

5+ years Aerospace experience preferred.
15+ years overall experience required.
PMP certification and EVMS experience desired.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

• Responsible for the design, development, and testing of team-assigned deliverables
• Coordination with cross-functional program leaders within Engineering and across functions
• Active participation in design reviews in accordance with department policy, customer requirements, and contractual specifications
• Development of employee personal development plans, and team/department level succession planning
• Ensure adherence to department and company policies, ethics and regulatory compliance, and contractual specifications
• Provide recommendations and resources for continuous improvement activities
• Lead team in all aspects of product design and development life cycle including requirement capture, detailed design, layout, test and verification activities focused on space domain product design
• Collaborate cross-functionally with systems engineering, safety and reliability team members, and discipline-aligned design teams to achieve elegant and reliable solutions
• Provide design support for internal and customer funded R&D projects

 

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws / regulations OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience OR In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required
• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
• Subject to drug and alcohol testing
