Sr Electrical Engineer 7-10 years’+ experience and a Professional Engineering License Highly motivated individual who is interested in all aspects of industrial power generation & distribution, including generators, battery energy storage and photovoltaic power systems. The position includes working in the office during design and in the field during construction support and commissioning. Design Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) distribution systems for industrial power generation & distribution projects including Microgrids for campus and/or district energy systems, and municipal scale power generation facilities. In this role, the successful candidate will also provide engineering support for utility interconnections and generator protection schemes. Typical tasks will include short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies, development of one and three line diagrams, protection schemes and motor control circuits for MV and LV circuits. Other tasks also include working with vendors to write equipment purchase specifications. Mentor and manage younger staff engineers.
Write Specifications for purchase of electrical equipment.
Review electrical equipment submittals and ensure proper coordination with overall design. Ensure equipment meets design intent of the project.
Perform calculations and analysis of electrical systems using ETAP and/or SKM.
Travel to client sites during construction.
Provide on-site commissioning support.
Interface with clients and contractors.
Manage and develop younger engineers.
10-20% travel is required.
