Linux Support Engineer- TS/SCI CI POLY required

Platform Engineer II / Linux with experience in Linux Infrastructure Engineering to join an agile product team. The Ideal candidate will have general experience in both traditional infrastructure provisioning of platform resources for existing on-premise infrastructure hardware that ideally also has basic experience in emerging DevOps/DevSecOps & Modernized technologies. The Platform Engineer II would be engaged in the daily implementation of the system updates and upgrades with Focus on the Linux Server / Linux OS.
The Platform Engineer II / Linux would be involved with implementation of traditional computing/network/storage systems and related software updates, as well as maintaining operating systems and existing server hardware designs, and supporting the design and development of new modernized system designs as needed.
Note This position is based in Richardson TX. and work will be performed at the onsite Facility requiring occasional travel to the customer site for upgrade and implementation activities as necessary.
What You Will Do
• You will maintain existing systems through Linux Based Tools and manage the COTS stack on the system to support program needs
• You will assist with integration of the selected platform provisioning tool such as VMWare
• You will travel to customer sites to assist with system updates and deliveries when necessary
Qualifications You Must Have
• Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and 3 years of related work experience
• Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (E.g. scrum, SAFe)
• Experience with VMware
• Experience with programming languages (E.g. Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go)
• Current TS/SCI CI Poly issued security clearance is required on day 1. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
• Experience with Linux LDAP for creating Linux based accounts and managing roles and permissions
• Experience with basic Linux Bash scripting for task automation and management of existing scripts
• Experience with modernization technologies such as Terraform/Ansible, Artifactory, xray, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Sonarqube etc
