Manufacturing Engineer - Electro Mechanical / DOD Optic background

This is a full time on-site direct opportunity.


Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Five years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment with proven record of success in continuous improvement.
Must be a hands-on engineer, capable of troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical equipment.
Must be able to manage short-term and long-term projects simultaneously with little external support.
Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Access.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Desired :
Able to identify issues in area of responsibility and formulate corrective actions.
Experience with NPI and production line development.
Works well with all levels of the organization and be a leader in the assigned area of responsibility.
Experience performing/participating in MRAs and reporting findings.
Solidworks experience a plus.
Be willing to learn new skills.
Experience working in AS9100 Quality System a plus.
Able to extract, format and present information from databases to support trend analysis.
Able to consolidate information and test results into clear, concise reports.
Able to support up to 20 operators and rigs to ensure quality and productivity requirements are met.

Assist in the troubleshooting and subsequent test of Fiber Optic Gyro/Military Products and related components.  Assist manufacturing in the repair of production equipment.  Assist engineering as required in PCB modifications and test.  Lead production line development projects new product introduction.  Commissioning and validation of new equipment.  Maintaining production documentation for multiple programs.  Help in Developing ATP and calibration programs for various product lines.  Programming equipment and updating programs to improve efficiencies.  Design equipment and fixtures to be used in production.
