Principal Systems Engineer for technical support to leading-edge satellite ground development programs. As a Principal System Engineer you will interact with senior leadership, customers and technical subject matter experts to develop strategic offerings for classified government customers. Work products will include white papers, concept of operations, technical bids, studies and other artifacts as required to communicate and demonstrate technical solutions. 

Required Skills: 
•    8+ years demonstrated engineering experience with proven track record. 
•    Demonstrated ability to successfully lead multi-disciplinary teams 
•    Satellite planning and scheduling, Satellite command or Ground equipment command and control 
•    Systems engineering functions including: operations concept development, requirements management, technical risk management, interface definition and control 
•    System integration and system test 
•    Knowledge of Information Assurance/Security Engineering/Risk Management Framework requirements and how they impact system design and implementation 
•    MUST have a current SSBI 
Desired Skills: 
•    Systems Engineering experience on a large government software development contract 
•    Satellite orbital mechanics 
•    Satellite sub-systems and related technologies 
•    Real-time embedded systems/flight software 
•    Satellite RF communications systems (ground and space) 
•    Operations including: procedure development, training, transition planning, installation, and deployment 
•    Complex satellite ground systems, particularly previous deployment of developed systems to ground station operations 
•    Requirements management 
•    CONOPS / OPSCON development 
•    Integration, and/or verification and validation 
•    DoDAF Architecture Artifacts 
•    Architecture development of SW centric system 
•    SE process development and deployment 
•    Cost estimation 
•    Qualified Six Sigma Specialist or equivalent 


Education: 
B.S./B.A. in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Math, or a science. Additional 8 years directly related experience (total of 16 years) accepted in lieu of a degree.
