Mid to senior-level Oracle database administrator possessing 6-8 years of Oracle database design and administration experience to join the Software team. A qualified candidate is needed to fill the role of administration, tuning, and Oracle development support for enhancements to, and maintenance of the current software baseline. 

Key responsibilities for the qualified candidate include: 
•    Current or past working experience with of Windows and Linux based OS 
•    Current or past working experience with Oracle, SQL, Database Architecture 
•    Tuning and evaluation of an existing Oracle Database instance 
•    Ability to quickly work with previously written SQL code and make modifications as necessary 
•    Strong analytical, problem solving, debugging and troubleshooting skills to identify and evaluate problems 
•    Enthusiastic and energetic performer able to work in a dynamic, fast paced, and sometimes pressured environment 
•    Team player incorporating a team based success philosophy able to work as an effective team member on an Integrated Product Team effort to achieve program success 
•    Contribute to the completion of program and project milestones (cost/schedule) under the specific guidance of his/her immediate supervisor 
•    Follow established program processes and procedures, development, documentation and maintenance/management of operations concepts, requirements (system, element, segment level), external and internal interfaces, and other software engineering work products/artifacts 

Education:    
Additional Job Details:    Requirements: •    United States Citizen •    Minimum 6-8 years working experience in Oracle 11 database administration •    Data Storage Architecture and Design including the use of the Oracle Automatic Storage Management tool •    High Speed Ingest/Retrieval experience using schema optimization and index tuning •    Efficient Logging and backup optimization • Experience with Oracle performance analysis and tuning including use of Oracle Enterprise Manager and installation parameters analysis and tuning of the configuration •    Experience with design and maintenance of database backups using Oracle Recovery Manager •    Migration scripts and patching procedures for an Oracle server •    Ability to work with software engineers and establish best practices from a database perspective •    Software, script and system-level debugging experience from a database perspective including the ability to identify problems in established SQL code and make modifications as necessary Desired Skills: •    Oracle 12 experience •    Oracle certification is a plus •    Experience preparing and presenting status information and technical material •    Experience and knowledge related to Satellite Operations, Ground Systems and Ground System Operations •    Experience with customer interaction and end-user engagement •    Software and database integration and system-level debugging experience •    Experience preparing, statusing, and presenting detailed schedules, technical material and readiness review data both verbally and written •    Ability to coordinate tasks, provide clear task status, address risk issues, and resolve issues across multiple groups •    Familiarity with other engineering disciplines (systems, hardware, test, configuration management, and quality engineering) and how they interact with the database Required Education (including Major): Bachelor of Science, BS in a Science and Engineering related field.
