DAWIA Acquisition Policy Logistician (DoD 5000 Acquisition experience)

  • Review/Comment on Integrated Product Support Documentation required for Program Milestones (i.e., Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, Materiel Fielding Plans, Memorandum of Agreement, Memorandum of Agreements/Understandings, New Equipment Training Plans, Core Logistics Assessments/Source of Repair Analysis, Unique Identification Plans, along with analyzing the supply chains for optimization, and oversees the Materiel Release and Type Classification of systems.
  • Acts as a senior resource for a specific discipline or function.
  • A working understanding to interpret regulations and statutory pertaining to DoDI 5000.02, AR 700-127, and AR 700-142, and be able to provide appropriate guidance to other PM SSL organizations on applying appropriate policy.
  • Pertaining to Integrated Product Support Management regarding logistics, acquisition, and administrative regulations and accepted policies be able to research, interpret, and refine providing PM SSL organizations with necessary guidance related to PM SSL system development.
  • The work requires an understanding of the functions involved, and the interrelationships with other Integrated Product Support elements.
  • Works with organizations charged with all aspects of Integrated Product Support which must be integrated (e.g., Maintenance Planning and Management, PHS&T, doctrine, Supply Support, TMDE, provisioning, Training, Fielding, Personnel etc.).
  • Apply the 12 elements of Integrated Product Support during the planning for and execution of programs.
  • Be able to review, comment, analyze, and evaluate current and emerging Regulatory and Statutory requirements and determine opportunities for improving the accuracy and adequacy, of documents as they pertain to supporting DA/AMC, other military services, and the user community.
  • Be able to support the customer at meetings at the Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA)/AMC, MACOMs, and other military services involved in the acquisition and Integrated Product Support processes.
  • Represents PM SSL Director of Logistics PSM and command at high level conferences and meetings
  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of Army Regulation 700-127/700-142 series.
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of DoD 5000 Series.
  • DAWII Level II or Equivalency
  • Experience with developing and executing strategic plans and policies.
  • Posses strong knowledge and experience in the areas of Federal Integrated Product Support and Program Management Integrated Product Support.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Prior experience working in or with military environment.
  • Education and Experience requirements:
    • High School AND 20yrs experience OR
    • Associates field AND 16yrs experience OR
    • Bachelor in non-directly 15yrs experience OR
    • Bachelor in directly related field AND 10yrs experience OR
    • Masters in non-directly related field AND 10yrs experience OR
    • Masters in directly related field AND 7yrs experience OR
    • Doctorate AND 5yrs experience.
