Looking for a motivated, experienced project manager with strong soft skills and attention to detail to serve as a Senior Project Manager (PM) on the Security Project Management team on a government contract. This role will be responsible for the planning and tracking of assigned short-term and long-term security-centric projects, which includes managing multiple work streams, allocating resources, and ensuring consistency in terms of planning and cost with other executing projects. Additionally, managing budgets, resource hours, and resource allocations will be a key responsibility.
 
This PM will work closely with the Security division, specifically the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) team executing the project plans, therefore an ability to build strong relationships with the team members and motivational leadership is required. The role will also deliver training of Project Management related topics (reading schedules, scope management, time-tracking, etc.) to A&A team members. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the timelines, resources, and escalate issues for multiple A&A projects occurring over 15+ project simultaneously in conjunction with IDIQ project managers.
  • Ability to co-manage large sized projects - managing scope, schedule, resources, and risks/issues.
  • Work with security team leads, technical leads, Information System Security Owners (ISSOs), and other project managers to support the creation of project management plans and schedules.
  • Support and train program staff on security project management processes.
  • Follow, update, and maintain department related SOPs.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience working with federal or federal civilian government agencies
  • Project Management experience; familiarity with an Agile development environment a plus
  • Fundamental project management skills within a matrixed environment and a solid foundation in business process management and excellent understanding of the core competencies: (scope, time, budget, risk, quality, integration, resource management, and communications)
  • Expert in collaboration, team building, and customer service
  • Demonstrated skill running effective meetings as well as getting buy-in and participation from various stakeholders
  • Ability to organize and present reports, create documentation, and track status
  • Experience as a Project Manager for IT projects involving implementation of new systems and upgrades of legacy systems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills across all levels
  • Self-starter and problem solver

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
  • Understanding of FISMA and NIST standards; Assessment and Authorization skills a plus
  • Familiarity with the following documents: NIST SP 800-37, revision 1; NIST SP 800-53, revision 4; NIST SP 800-53a, revision 4
  • Certified Authorization Professional (CAP)
 
Required Education and Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or six (6) years or more years of related experience
  • Masters, PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience
 Clearance Requirement:
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance (High)
