The Database/ IT/ Software specialists will be responsible for ensuring that the software suite remains functional for all users on the host network. They will also create and maintain the online web portal as well as maintaining permissions lists in the shared file structure of the host network. The database and file structure duties also include working with Structured Query Language (SQL), Visual Basic programming, and Microsoft Office macro creation. As part of their duties, the specialists must work under minimal technical guidance; draft technical program documentation, such as end-user operational instructions, manage customer relationships to ensure satisfaction, conceptualize the user interface layout and design, consult with client to develop formal user requirements, and translate user requirements from a requirements document into an application/database. The specialists may perform other duties as assigned.
  • Administer database to manage contract performance.
  • Act as a member of the Logistics team supporting multiple contracts across two product offices.
  • Ensures access to the data is authorized and controlled on a routine basis.
  • Maintains data repository and its standards with updates as needed.
  • Documents technical processes to sustain data integrity and ease data capture on a quarterly basis.
  • Develops one-time processes for data quality resolution.
  • Modify and leverage existing relational databases to meet new requirements as required.
  • Code and/or write MS Office automation scripts to automate data entry/export processes on an as needed basis.
  • Work with financial and acquisition sensitive data and configure access control accordingly w/bi-annual reviews.
  • Providing advice to Government personnel regarding administration oversight for one or more initiatives and projects.
  • Establish initial processes and procedures to ensure access to portfolio data is authorized and controlled and review quarterly for updates.
  • Ensure compliance with data repository standards (monthly).
  • Develop technical data processes to sustain data integrity and ease data capture (one-time).
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years’ experience managing online web portals and webpage design
  • 5 years’ experience designing, managing and modifying SQL and Access databases
  • 5 years’ experience creating macros in Visual Basic to apply to Microsoft Office

  • US Citizenship required.
