Successful Candidates will:

IT Network Architect to support a new program providing IT support to the Department of Homeland Security. This position is located in the Washington D.C. area. In this position, the IT Network Architect is responsible for employing enterprise architecture (EA) techniques and methodologies to build EA artifacts for solving tough analytical challenges in support of one of the nation's premier law enforcement entities. The candidate will apply technical expertise to develop prototypes in order manage large amounts of data in support of automated analysis, as well as provide technical support for the migration of applications and data sets to the cloud.

Successful Candidates will:
  • Support the development of cross functional or large-scale automated information systems to include enterprise architectures;
  • Design system architectures to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements and provides for present and future cross functional requirements and interfaces;
  • Provide comprehensive definition of all aspects of system development from analysis of mission needs to verification of system performance;
  • Perform evaluation of system alternatives and assessment of risks and costs;
  • Employ Enterprise Architecture (EA) techniques and methodologies for solving architecture portfolio challenges in support of one of nation's premier law enforcement entities and its supported components;
  • Use automated techniques to build Enterprise Architecture artifacts to JARM, FEA or DODAF standards;
  • Develop prototypes and bring structure to large quantities of data to make automated analysis possible;
  • Provide technical expertise to support migration of applications and data sets to cloud environments; Employ project management techniques and procedures to plan, manage, and deploy Cross Domain Solution Services across DHS components
  • Required Skills, Qualifications and Certifications
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Expereince/education: High school diploma and ten (10) years relevant experience, or associate degree and eight (8) years relevant experience, or bachelors degree and six (6) years relevant experience, or masters degree and four (4) years relevant experience;
  • Understanding of FEA, JARM, and DODAF concepts and enabling tools and technologies;
  • Experience preparing documentation, schedules and reports needed by Government to manage IT Enterprise services such as cross-domain;
  • Experience performing independent validation and verification of IT Enterprise services;
  • Must be willing to travel as needed
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Keen interest in using the latest data science techniques and methods to solve real world problem sets vital to national security
  • Direct Experience with DHS and Intelligence Community (IC) component's data architectures and environments;
  • Expertise in various COTS, GOTS, and open source tools which support EA modeling;
  • Understanding of the Intelligence Community Information Technology Environment (IC ITE) data architectures, tools and services;
  • One or more of the following certifications: DoD 8570 IAT Level II, Network +, ITIL, AWS Associate or Professional Solution Architect;
  • Experience performing project management to include abilities to establish WBS, IMS, and track Risk;
