Manage the team that configures, operates, monitors, secures, and sustains the Enterprise Telephony Firewall Management (ETFM) system and the enterprise theater Voice over IP (VoIP) Edge/Session Border Controllers (EBC, SBC), Call Processing Managers and VoIP equipment on multiple Department of Defense (DoD) networks at multiple locations.  Monitor, detect, alert, block, report, and store modem voice, data, fax, secure telephone equipment (STE), or video teleconferencing communications attempting to transit a telephone switch. Perform network management to ensure applicable firewall ports and protocols are open to allow ETFM users to access the regional enterprise management and database servers. Troubleshoot and monitor appliances for failures and alarms.  Install, configure, and maintain a lab environment in support of Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) testing/patches and system/database upgrades.  Maintain accurate system diagrams.  Ensure daily backup of servers and databases onto the Storage Area Network (SAN) and other backup media and ensure data is current, available, and usable.  Provide database administration for the regional ETFM database servers. Perform proactive database administration tasks to prevent database error and maintain database availability.  Operate, monitor, sustain, and secure VOIP technologies such as IP-PBX, IP telephony, VOIP handsets, call control managers, SBCs and EBCs.  Provide video teleconferencing (VTC) infrastructure device system administration support and operate, monitor, sustain, and secure VTC endpoints, IP VTC Proxy and security boundary devices, VTC device NetOps tools, and IP VTC bridges and conference data storage solutions.  Experience with SecureLogix Enterprise Telephony Management System (ETMS).  Working knowledge of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) for Voice and (VoIP).
Serve as the technical expert for a team of engineers responsible for ensuring the continued operations and functions of enterprise network assets including Cisco Routers and switches, VPNs, Red Hat, Solaris, CyberGuard and Fortinet Firewalls in a large scale secured classified and unclassified network environments through an extensive quality assurance and auditing function. ·Ensure all Department of Defense Information Network – Army (DoDIN-A) UC Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Data and Video Teleconferencing capabilities that operate over the Army and DoD NIPRNet and SIPRNet enterprise network infrastructure at each post/camp/station are configured, operated, monitored, secured, and sustained In Accordance With (IAW) the Army Regulation (AR) 25-2 and the approved Joint Technical Architecture (JTA) ensuring configuration, security and connection into the DoDIN-A and Global Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) enterprises are maintained.
Will ensure the UC team provides secure and interoperable UC VoIP, Data and VTC cutting edge services to CONUS at the USARCC-C. Understands IP based Enterprise and Cloud based services and solutions and how they can be used to support the Army’s tactical and business day-to-day missions. Fully understands the DoDIN, the Army DoDIN-A, the DoDIN (formerly known as the DISN) UC certification process in-order to ensure emerging technologies and services will be able to support the information sharing needs of the Army stakeholder and customers.
Required: Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience. Candidate is required to have one of the following certifications: GSEC, Security + CE, SSCP, CCNA Security, Cisco Certified Network Practitioner (CCNP) Voice, ITIL Foundation Certified (or must be able to obtain within 3 months of hire)
Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance required.
