The Global Positioning System Advanced Control Segment (GPS OCX) company team is responsible for full life cycle engineering on state of the art environmental, commercial, & sensing systems for government & commercial applications. GPS OCX is seeking a talented software engineer to join our software team. 

Candidates must be a US Citizen and hold an active DoD Secret Security Clearance. Responsibilities include planning and performing software test automation involving definition and implementation of test and verification requirements, plans and sequences relative to complex software and hardware subsystems and resolve identified conflicting issues. Participate in software automated test readiness reviews, participate in software design reviews, and conduct audits of test programs and facilities. Apply understanding of principles of related engineering and software technology to ensure test validity and integrity. Conduct software automated tests, which include collaborating with others in establishing language, database, and computer simulation requirements and configuration management techniques. General supervision is received from a designated supervisor. Limited supervision is received through periodic review or objectives and results from a designated manager. 

Required Skills: 
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related scientific discipline with minimum 6+ years of software engineering experience 
· Hands on user experience with Test Automation tools (eggPlant or Cucumber) 
· Experience preparing and presenting reports and briefings both orally and written 
· Knowledge of or experience with Eclipse, JavaScript (including JQuery) 
· Knowledge or experience with Web Services and Object Oriented design 
· Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-discipline environment to produce deliverable products 
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
· 6+ years of experience in the following: 
- Object-oriented software design and development using Java, including JUnit unit testing 
- JEE / J2EE experience, including Application Server (JBoss, Weblogic, etc.), Java Persistence 
- Architecture (JPA), Spring framework 
- Developing scripts to support test efforts for the software build cycles 
- Preparing test procedures and test procedure execution 
- Utilizing discrepancy report systems 
- Working within Integrated Product Teams 
- Specifying test verification requirements 
· Must be willing to travel short term for business 
· Must be willing to work overtime and weekends 
· Must be willing to work rotating shift assignments (i.e. 1st, 2nd, 3rd) 
· Must be a US Citizen and hold active DoD Secret Security Clearance 

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related scientific discipline
