"Senior Electrical Engineer II - Digital Sub-systems Design 

The Power and Electronics Systems Department within company's system is hiring a Digital Sub-Systems Engineer. The primary responsibilities of are the development, implementation, and integration of digital sub-systems. The candidate may perform or support requirements specification, digital design, simulation, design validation, system integration testing, and production support. The candidate should also have successfully implemented designs in fielded systems, and constructed test and integration plans. 

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. 

Applicant will work as part of a highly motivated team environment, and will be collaborating with cross-functional project teams making up a larger program or internal research and development efforts. Our engineers are assigned to a manager of approximately 20 employees with similar skills. Each section manager is responsible for their members’ performance, career development, and assigning tasks that balance the employees’ interests with current needs of the project teams. 

Required Skills: 
•6+ years related experience 
•Strong written and verbal communication; must be able to present to various levels of management as well as internal and external customers 
•Broad technical experience designing and supporting Digital Sub-Systems including the resolution of tough technical challenges 
•Experience troubleshooting hardware and process issues down to CCA and component levels 
•Ability maintain high performance in a highly dynamic, team based environment 
•Experience with electrical hardware design and development including design standard adherence 
•Past work experience (professional or academic) interacting with multidisciplinary teams of system design professionals including electrical, mechanical, software, and logistics engineers 
•Proficient with Microsoft Office suite 
•Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance 
Desired Skills: •Experience with CreoSchematics 
•Experience in proposal writing including cost estimation 
•Knowledge of design practices 
•Experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action investigations 
Required Education (including Major): •B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (advanced degree a plus)
