Cyber Security Requirements Systems Engineer (801) 

The IVT IPT of the National Team is seeking engineers who are creative and think-out-of-the-box and will bring critical industry skills, capabilities, and knowledge to support analysis and development of Cyber-Defense concepts to support system-of-system level requirements for the United States Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). Candidate will support, multi-discipline team of Engineers to provide cybersecurity engineering to assist in analysis, definition and coordination of system-of-systems level requirements for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). Candidate will work with the MDA Customer, BMDS elements, and military services to define functional, performance, and interface requirements to ensure an acceptable level of cyber protection across BMDS networks, platforms, and nodes. Candidate will assist in the planning and coordination of plans to test and validate the cyber security requirements will meet DoD and MDA goals. 

Required Skills: 

6 years of experience with developing system level requirements using DOORS or similar requirements management tools. 
• Experience with system architecture tools for performing requirements analysis and documenting architectures such as Rhapsody, Magic Draw, System Architect, etc.

• Excellent communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, be courteous and professional when interacting with colleagues and customers, demonstrate a solid ability to identify and solve problems, and be able to work successfully in a team environment. 

Desired Skills: 

• Demonstrated past experience with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) cybersecurity controls, implementation, and verification as found in DoDI 8500.1, DoDI 8510.01, NIST 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and NIST 800-53A 
• Demonstrated past experience with DoD cyber risk management process as found in NIST 800-30 and NIST 800-37 
• Familiarity with common cybersecurity vulnerabilities and exposures (CVE’s) and mitigations 
• Familiarity with network- and host-based cybersecurity concepts and practices 
• Demonstrated past experience with cyber test planning, execution, and data analysis in developmental testing (DT) and/or operational testing (OT) 
• Demonstrated past experience with systems engineering concepts and processes 
• Past experience with cybersecurity support to weapon systems. 
• Certifications and experience: 
DoD 8570.01-M IAT level 2, or DoD 8140 Specialty Code 45 certifications, specifically both a baseline

• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and work well under deadlines. 

Required Education (including Major): 

BS Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical degree. Continuing education in Cyber Security is highly desirable.
