The FCS Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the Frigate Fire Control System (FCS) is operable and available. The FCS Engineer will coordinate with the Weapons Engineer for FCS matters, assist in identifying, isolating and repairing FCS equipment problems, and report to the Combat Systems O&M Manager and ATO/ATM when directed. Specific responsibilities include:
• Identify and resolve FCS equipment and documentation discrepancies
• Submit FCS equipment status reports
• Support/provide crew familiarization training
• Assist in the resolution of FCS logistics issues
 Review drawings, documents, and test procedures. Report any issues are recommendations
 Perform/assist government responsible tests requiring FCS
• Ensure system is operational and ready to support testing
• Assist with data collection and analysis when needed. Provide recommendations for connection points, test equipment, procedures when needed/requested • Assist shipbuilder with installation issues
• Assist with CSAV
• Assess system installation and operation in support of upcoming milestones. Report results

Experience Requirements: • Must possess strong organizational, planning, and time management skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines and competing requirements • Must have strong personnel management and written/oral communications skills.
