In this position, the candidate serves as a full stack developer in support of the application development team and is responsible for ensuring the quality and responsiveness of applications. 
Essential Functions:
  • Serve as a full stack developer on application development team;
  • Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications;
  • Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and launch new features;
  • Maintain code integrity and organization;
  • Work with graphic designers and converting designs to visual elements;
  • Understand and implement security and data protection.
Required Skills, Qualifications and/or Certifications:
  • Clearance: Active TS clearance (SCI Eligibility Preferred)
  • Must be a US citizen
  • DHS HQ EOD required to start
  • BS degree in a related scientific or engineering discipline from an accredited college or university and ten (10) to fourteen (14) years of progressive experience, or an MS degree in a related scientific or engineering discipline, and eight (8) to twelve (12) years of progressive experience, or a Ph.D. degree in a related scientific or engineering discipline and four (4) to seven (7) years of progressive experience.
  • Requires demonstrated technical expertise in computer system applications.
  • Highly experienced with back-end programming languages (Java)
  • Proficient experience using frameworks such as AngularJS
  • Understanding of server-side languages
  • Experience with cloud message APIs and usage of push notifications
  • Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git
  • Prior experience with the following technologies is required:
    • angularJS
    • nodejs
    • java
    • elasticsearch
    • no sql
    • rdbms
  • Must have BS degree in related scientific or engineering discipline from an accredited college or university and ten (10) to fourteen (14) years of progressive experience, or an MS degree in a related scientific or engineering discipline, and eight (8) to twelve (12) years of progressive experience, or a Ph.D. degree in a related scientific or engineering discipline and four (4) to seven (7) years of progressive experience;
  • must have demonstrated technical expertise in computer system applications;
  • Must take and pass a drug test and background check as well as a motor vehicle records check;
  • Must be a US citizen;
  • Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Regular attendance is necessary and required;
  • Must be able to work a 40-hour work week, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur;
  • Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously;

Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS Developer Certification
  • AWS Solutions Architect Certification
  • Keen interest in using the latest data science techniques and methods to solve real world problem sets vital to national security;
  • Direct Experience with DHS and Intelligence Community (IC) component's data architectures and environments;
  • Expertise in various COTS, GOTS, and open source tools
  • Understanding of the Intelligence Community Information Technology Environment (IC ITE) data architectures, tools and services;
  • One or more of the following certifications: DoD 8570 IAT Level II, Network +, ITIL, AWS Associate or Professional Solution Architect;
  • Experience performing project management to include abilities to establish WBS, IMS, and track Risk;
  • Experience communicating IT service and project status to Senior Executives.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:
  • Inside office environment;
  • Working on a computer for long periods of time;
  • May involve long period of sitting at a desk;
  • The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.
