Spacecraft Software Oversight Engineer

To fulfill this critical role, you will need to perform all aspects of the software development effort, including:
 
Capturing and managing requirements.
 Software release planning and estimation.
  System integration and interface management and coordination.
  Software testing and verification.
 Review software products and artifacts for completeness of design and implementation.
 Review software development activities across the full development life cycle.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:
  • BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of ten (10) years of direct engineering experience, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of eight (8) years of direct engineering experience, or Ph.D. and a minimum of four (4) years of direct engineering experience.
  • Strong proficiency and experience within the last year with the following areas:
    • Proficiency with C/C++ coding
    • Proficiency with Linux
    • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python
    • Experience working as a part of an Integrated Product Team to develop avionic systems
  • Experience in one or more of the following specialty areas:
    • Autonomous Systems
    • Data Engineering/Data Governance
    • Spacecraft Propulsion Systems
    • Spacecraft Electrical Power Systems, specifically Solar and Battery Systems
    • Spacecraft Guidance, Navigation and Control Systems
    • Spacecraft Robotic Arm Systems
    • Fault Detection, Isolation and Recovery (FDIR) for Distributed Avionics Architectures
  • Experience working as part of an Integrated Product Team to develop avionic systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination skills; strong customer service attitude.
