Candidates are responsible for supporting various database implementations throughout NVESD efforts, which can include centralized and decentralized implementation support of office automation, imagery field data collection, cataloging, ground truthing, data corrections, data analysis, Aided Target Recognition, and scoring. The selected candidates will support front end interfaces and applications, systems configurations, database design structures, data manipulation and updates. Additionally, they will support the conversion of existing software based database applications to become fully web enabled and continuing to maintain the preexisting functionality. It is desired for candidates to continuously evaluate the current design implementations and suggest and complete different improvements on said design implementations. It is important that during this process, information remains secure.
Candidates will provide on-site database coverage support during normal working hours as defined: M-F: 0730 hrs to 1630 hrs. However there is the potential with special mission requirements, to have hours outside the defined normal operating hours. This occurrence takes place rarely, only roughly 6 to 10 times per year.
 
Required:  8+ years of directly related experience. Must meet DoD 8570, 8570.01-M and AR 25-2 training and certification requirements, i.e. Oracle 11/12 certification and A+.
 
Desired:  Technical training in an Information Technology related field or Oracle database development/design/management training.
