ROIC Designer

The ROIC Designer will serve as technical expert and point of contact representing ROIC expertise across multiple integrated program teams. In this capacity, responsibilities will include capturing requirements in formal documentation, interfacing with sub-contract design vendors, and contributing to design reviews. You will provide technical input to the ROIC design team while directly contributing to the design effort.

As a key member on a growing team, you will be involved in all aspects of design including block-level design and simulation, chip-level architecture and verification, layout and physical verification, and silicon validation and characterization. The ideal candidate will have ROIC-specific design experience and a demonstrated willingness to mentor other engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of nine (9) years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

  • Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.

  • Requires mastery level knowledge within a specific technical area or multiple job areas typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Viewed as an expert and/or resource within the field by peers in and outside the organization.

  • Proven ability to understand system-level performance requirement and reduce to ROIC chip-level requirements.

  • Experience designing two or more of: High speed differential I/O, A-to-D converters, bias generation, analog buffers, serializers, readout pixel unit cells.

  • Custom layout of Analog and Digital ICs from the block level to the top level.

  • Cadence Virtuoso and Mentor Calibre verification software.

  • Integrated circuit and electronics test and debug.

  • Knowledge of common image artifacts and contributing factors.

  • Knowledge of non-uniformity sources and correction methods, 3-D noise analysis.

  • Familiarity with camera electronics and software.

  • Documentation, communication and analysis skills.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with large, stitched-die designs
