The Secure Systems Solutions Software area is seeking an enthusiastic and highly capable Software Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTL) with a recent track record of successfully leading software engineers in programs developing real time embedded software.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contribute to the development of new principles and concepts.
- Give direction on unusually complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious
- Work effectively and contribute significantly during all phases of the software development life-cycle
- Manage development efforts of real-time embedded software
- Capable of developing an IMS and utilizing EVMS to manage towards aggressive goals
- Communicate effectively with team members and other leaders across multiple disciplines, functional areas, project management, and customers
- Significantly contribute to, and lead, program and customer meetings and reviews
- Function as a Software IPTL to a team consisting primarily of (though not limited to) software engineers.
(Required Skills)
- Developing embedded software utilizing C, Python, Vectorcast or related tools/languages (Minimum 10+ years of experience)
- Extensive experience Developing and integrating real time embedded software
- Experience with project leadership and leading a team consisting of multiple individual contributors
- Experience with EVMS – Earned Value Management System (or equivalent)
- Experience developing and managing an IMS (Integrated Master Schedule)
- Hardware / software integration experience
- Strong experience in every phase of the software development life-cycle
- Strong working knowledge of Software Development Processes
(Desired Skills)
- Good knowledge and Experience with GPS Technology
- Experience with developing and integrating software for GPS systems
- Experience with Agile and Continuous Integration methodologies
- Technical leadership experience as a subject matter expert
- Good familiarity with DO-178
Required Education:
• Bachelor’s degree required. STEM degree highly preferred.
