This position requires work onsite  in Linthicum, MD.
Ability top Obtain DOD Top Secret Clearance

Responsibilities:
• Research and implement new thermal management technologies.
• Develop analytical models to predict thermal performance of cryogenic systems
• Design, develop and perform testing on thermal systems operating a cryogenic temperatures.
• Help to design and develop custom test hardware fixtures and testing facilities.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors of Science in: Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Structural Engineering, Physics or related field 
• Working knowledge of thermal analysis software (COMSOL, IcePak, Sinda/Fluint) or similar.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively to team members both verbally and in writing.
• Eligibility to obtain and hold a TS/SCI security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Design and analysis experience simulating heat transfer within superconducting circuitry.
• Working Knowledge of cryogenic test systems; dilution Refrigeration, 4 kelvin cryo-coolers, Adiabatic Demagnetization Refrigeration (ADR) and liquid helium emersion.
• Experience in modeling mechanical structures in; Solidworks, NX or similar.
• Ability to adjust to changing priorities and requirements.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
