Troubleshoot and maintain Thermal/ Vacuum Chamber measurement and instrumentation systems
Create and upgrade HMI screens and program/modify PLCs
Perform upgrades to PLCs as needed for integration into SCADA platform
Integration of Data Acquisitions systems into SCADA platform
Resolve corrective actions as they arise
Perform other duties as required
Review and track project status reporting
Produce required documentation
Perform system checkouts and acceptance
Other possible activities include procurements, instrument calibration, support other facility maintenance or testing activities

BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school
Computer programming experience
Experience with SQL database
Understanding of electrical drawings and procedures for instrumentation systems
Experience with data acquisition systems and their application
Experience with instrument specification and calibration procedures
Proficiency using computers
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Requisition Preferences:
BS degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or control engineering from an accredited engineering school with five (5) years of related engineering experience
Familiarity with Johnson Space Center (JSC) organizations, processes, and procedures
Familiarity with SCADA systems
Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLCs and programming software
Familiarity with OPC DA/UA
Familiarity with National Instrument Data Acquisition systems.
