Fluids Engineer

Responsibilities include:
· The selected engineer will provide technical engineering direction to perform flight and ground system cryogenic engineering projects that meet stakeholder expectations, system functional requirements and NASA program requirements.
· Work shall include the development of models and drawings, preliminary analysis, design review presentations, and support for manufacturing and operations.
· Depending on the project type, this can vary from participating in conceptual design ideas to revisions to existing designs and modifications to existing cryogenic fluid systems or Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
· Duties also include preparation of all essential system engineering documentation components required for a complete and viable system.
· Responsible for planning, cost development, management, and scheduling for assigned projects.
· Must have ability to successfully interface with customer representatives and manage completion of tasks on schedule and within budget to the customer's satisfaction.

Education/Certification/Other Requirement:
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering school plus (10) years of progressive and relevant experience. Additional relevant education may be substituted for a portion of the experience.
· Strong teamwork and leadership skills
· Strong knowledge in KSC/NASA design engineering processes, standards, and specifications
· Working knowledge of Creo modeling (or equivalent) and KDDMS/Windchill
· Working knowledge of AFT analysis applications (AFT Fathom/Arrow)
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
