The Command & Control team is responsible for designing, building, and testing the software, hardware and networking systems that will be used to launch the next generation rocket for NASA.  We provide overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. These tasks will support the Exploration Ground Systems, Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle and Launch Services programs.

Job Description:
Systems Administrator responsible for configuring and maintaining flight emulation systems for the Spaceport Command and Control System (SCCS) in the CAIDA (Customer Avionics Interfaces, Development & Analysis) Lab. This position supports the Development, Verification, and Validation environments of the Launch Control System (LCS) within the Artemis Program.
Tasks include:
· Perform asset configuration and operational support of Emulator systems including software installation, software configuration, and network patching.
· Assist emulation systems end users with problem analysis and resolution. Document all actions and pertinent information.
· Provide technical strategy and schedule inputs regarding testing and operational activities

Education/Certification/Other Requirement:
· BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
· Windows Server 2016/Windows 10 Enterprise and Red Hat Enterprise Linux Systems Administration experience
· Experience with Microsoft Windows Active Directory
· Proficient with Microsoft Office products
· Ability to interpret written information and effectively communicate verbally and in writing
· Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
· Ability to analyze information, problem solve, and troubleshoot complex systems
· Ability to follow intricate operational procedures
· Willingness to work off-shift and weekends

Preferred:
· Experience with Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM)
· C++ and/or Python programming experience
· Experience using Maximo, ClearQuest or other work control system
· Experience writing technical documentation for operating and troubleshooting complex system configurations
