Job Description:
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, risk and opportunity assessments, and supportability and effectiveness analyses.
- Support the identification, development and improvement of system operation and maintenance processes/products.
- Identify and implement new or improved tools and processes to increase team efficiency.
- Applies knowledge from various disciplines to architect and design systems; includes neuroscience, behavioral science, engineering (systems, electrical, mechanical), computer science (distributed computing/programming), philosophy/phenomenology, physics, and mathematics.
- Uses emerging verification and validation approaches in addition to the traditional ones to test 1) multi-agent systems employing algorithms that produce ever-changing outcomes related to detection and decision, pattern recognition, and prediction, and 2) systems requirements definition for a new class of systems.
- Apply systems engineering processes and procedures to develop and maintain systems that meet customer needs; ensuring compliance with applicable directives, policies, and standards/best practices.
- Create, review, and maintain critical system documentation, such as requirements documents, design documents, interface description documents, test plans, user manuals & procedures and analysis reports.
- Requirements management, including decomposition, allocation, traceability, certification. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solution that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Support Modeling and Simulation, architecture, CONOPS activities on an as needed basis
Required Education:
- Minimum of 14 years of engineering experience with a bachelor’s in STEM field; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD.
Required Skills:
- Comfortable with loosely-defined problems, have a demonstrated ability to think creatively, and draw upon a variety of sources for ideas and solutions
- Experience with Model-based systems engineering
- Familiarity with AI/ML models and techniques
